Me, as bait for the “horrific, controversial” news producers!

Digital marketing survives on clicks! That magical action which every content is expected to garner. This expectation is limitless. Content producer use various baits to accomplish their goal. People follow rules, follow the opposite, and break rules to become successful. Thier success stands on the shoulder of how many clicks their content has received. This fetish has given rise to some remarkable trends. First, people use mind-boggling titles to allure readers. Second, they offer value in the form of content or otherwise using impressionable keywords. Third, many offer horrific, controversial news to generate clicks. This was obvious. But, the more we click on such “horrific, controversial” titles, the more this kind of trends are going to flourish. And the more we, as commoners, will be fed with concocted, manipulated content. For the sake of keeping myself sane, I practice self-control and strong discretion not to be the silly fish these “horrific, controversial” news producers.

Office discussion and age-old colleagues..Do we plan to meet again?

Office discussion. They are so juicy but short-lived.

You learn so much about others without investing a penny. You have folks that can double up as Facebook, G+, & Twitter all the at the same time.

It’s interesting to listen to their tales and market updates. But, on leaner days, we wish it could stop for sometime.

These discussion seems to be inherently relatable. As if we’re from the same bloodline and refer to the same pedigree. Still, once we jump ships and start working in a different organization, all these proximities seems so vague.

I hope and pray to meet all my colleagues someday.

Content quality directly proportional to income

I hope my content has clarity, continuity, and connection. Coz that’s what a blog post of Copyblogger says about quality content.

Clarity has to be in the form of – message delivered to the audience in simple words.

Continuity refers to – a steady growth of the content’s central idea.

Connection – every sentence must be related to each other without exaggeration.

This is the capsule – a panacea, for content producers/writers. And of course for me, if I want to shine as one. Time and again, every bit of content development advice boils down to these metrics.

Now content has become the mainstay of my livelihood. It has helped me to pay for my higher education (post-graduation), look after my parents, and cover my marriage costs to a great extent.

Therefore, I need to practice the 3 C’s of content quality.

And improve upon them for the rest of my life.

Do what you want, not what you dont..Really?

This is a Catch-22 for me. If I do what I want, then I’ll have to take calculated risk! Why? I’m married and have to feed my family. If at all by chance, I miss my mark, I’ll lose all my savings (a paltry sum) and a 4+ years of job at a steady company.

Brushing up my writing skills will help me to stay buoyant. Writing has to continue on the side, throughout my life. This will provide me with the courage to take the bold step of following my dreams. Whatever I’m writing here, it has a sole purpose – to create a portfolio.

A powerful portfolio will get me assignments. Assignments will keep my pocket well-oiled. A well-oiled pocket will support me to fulfill my obligations. Fulfilled obligations will steer me to success.

Expecting Nirvana.

Procrastination is robbing me..

Once again the bug of procrastination has bitten me. I wanted to write a 100-150 words blog post everyday, but now I don’t feel like writing. This kind of mental status bothers me a lot. I plan to do so many things and yet, I’m nowhere to taste any success. This is just because of my lack of attention and consistency.

Quite disheartening. My mind drives me to build castle in the air and so many times, I remind myself of my goals, but to no avail.

I started this blog just to cure myself of procrastination and build a productive habit of writing down my thoughts. The sole objective of this blog is to showcase that I can write and bag lucrative freelance gigs as a nutrition / science writer.

A great tool to build my personal brand!

Abort: To do or not to do, that’s the Question

Abortion. Ah, it’s as old as any religion could be. But, why so much fuss around it?

Anything that threatens your life could be wiped out of the face of the Earth. Just like Bin Laden’s been. God of every religion has valued life more than death.

HE wants you to live an eternal life, full of goodness and warmth and not of misery. There’s a fine line into what could be considered as genuinely life-threatening and insincerity. It’s you will!

If you’re willing, then you can or else you decline. No compulsion on that. But sheer direction – it’s what your ‘will’ chooses.
The ball is in your court. So, is the baby..

Juma! Who Chained A Human

I like to twist facts a bit, to both regret and rejoice. Am, Juma, the jaguar of Brazil and certainly not the one that was killed by a bothered Brazilian soldier in utter self-defense at the Olympic torch ceremony of Rio 2016.

This time I employed a bunch of my folks to chain a creature, a species named Homo Sapiens (aka human being) to amuse and enthrall my audience to flag off our very own global sporting event.

By nature we’re carnivorous and have been armed with powerful muscles, dagger-like incisors and a muslin coat of yellow & black. So, you see, I and all my folks are always heavily armed to fend off an attack, anytime.

The chained-human has been fed with flesh and bones for several days and brought in a cage for this particular event. Sadly, once the event was over, this chained creature slipped off its leash and did what it can do best – runaway.

But, we’re not the kind to let go our prized catch so easy and one of our folks grabbed the Beast by its neck. Within moment it calmed down in a pool of warm blood. Luckily, in our world there’s no media or Internet and so there’s no outcry for the misfortune!

How do you feel bud?
